Amidst speculations about Shahid Kapoor coming to the chat show Koffee With Karan with his reel wife Deepika Padukone, recently we revealed that the partner accompanying Sasha on the show is none other than his real wife Mira Rajput. While Mira Rajput denied that her family wasn’t star struck at all when they met Shahid’s family who completely belong to the film and entertainment industry, she claimed that her family came from literary background and often skipped Page 3 stuff, since their interest was in all business articles. Scrapped notes valued Rs.10 lakh were found in the possession of popular Telugu actor and TDP legislator N. Balakrishna's wife Vasundhara Devi at Renigunta Airport near here.The cash was found when she was checking out along with five family members after landing from Hyderabad on Saturday.
The airport security officials and later income tax officials questioned her about the huge cash, all in demonetised notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500, sources said.
Vasundhara showed IT documents to the officials and told them that she brought the money for offering it to Lord Venkateswara temple. She said they were going to drop the money in the temple 'hundi'.The officials allowed her and other family members to proceed to the temple.Balakrishna is a leader of ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He is the member of Andhra Pradesh state legislative assembly from Hindupu. The actor is brother-in-law of Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu. Balakrishna's daughter is also married to Naidu's son Lokesh.

A 22-year-old dancer was shot dead on stage allegedly by a drunk man after he was not allowed to dance with her troupe in Punjabs Bathinda district.The incident happened last night during the marriage function of a local commission agents son in Maur here where the deceased, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, was performing with her dance troupe. A group of the grooms friends, who were allegedly drunk, were firing in the air and tried to come on to the stage to join the dancers, police said. On being prevented from dancing on stage, one of the men from the group, Billa, allegedly opened fire with his .12 bore gun, hitting Kulwinder in her head.Video footage of the incident shows the victim being shot at from close range and collapsing to the ground."She died on the way to hospital," Bathinda DSP (Maur) Davinder Singh said today.A case of murder has been registered against four persons, including Billa, police said, adding that they are absconding.The other three are yet to be identified and investigation is underway, police said.

A twin-engine indonesian police plane went missing on Saturday with 15 people on board en route to the island of Batam, south of Singapore, police said.The plane is thought to have crashed between the islands of Mensanak and Sebangka or Gentar, a police report obtained by Reuters said. A search team recovered items apparently identified as being from the missing aircraft, the report said. No other details were immediately available.

Announcing the party's protest plan, KPCC president V M Sudheeran on Saturday said people from all walks of life including farmers, vendors, labourers, government employees and pensioners were suffering due to the withdrawing of high denomination currencies of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500. "The Centre is doing nothing to resolve the present crisis. It has triggered wide protest among people across the country.
